IIL back to the World Scholar’s Cup15 March 2017
On Sunday 5th March 2017, 33 students from Year 7, 8 and 9 participated in the Swiss round of the World Scholar’s Cup at Campus des Nations. The day was filled with challenging and exciting events. In teams of three, students had to debate three times on motions such as « That it should be against the law to bring dead people back to life » or « That government should tell is if the world is about to end ». They also wrote essays, and answered questions in two big quizzes.
Our students excelled and went home covered in medals!
In their own words…
“It was nice and fun. The tests were hard but it’s all about enjoying your day😜 » Dhanush
“Thirteen hours of exhausting fun!” Teo
“Exciting, exhilarating and surprising. I’ve never had more fun in my life, and can’t wait to do it again.”
They are now thinking hard about going on to the Global Round in Hanoi, Athens or Cape Town.
