The Institut International de Lancy iPad orchestra has brought world renown to the school with a video of their performance which has been presented at international conferences symbolising the extra-ordinary range of new opportunities available through the use of technology.
  • Description
The spirit of innovation represented by the iPad orchestra can be seen throughout many new teaching and learning strategies, some of which are described below from maternelle (infants) to lycée (high school).

Project "Funny Grammar"

Creative, fun activities are introduced into traditional language lessons to improve students' approach and attitudes to what is broadly considered as “grammar”.

The Association for the Defence of Words was founded. In this context each student participates in diverse and varied activities such as scanning flashcards behind which "mystery" words are hidden, producing commercials to encourage the adoption of a word or using a variety of applications to invent mnemonics to remember certain rules.

Project "Kerboodle"

With access to iTunesU files, science teaching is enhanced and personalised through the use of Kerboodle resources. In their Science class, Year 7-1 and 6e students have used Kerboodle resources to understand how the benefits of assessment can be an inherent part of the learning process.

The IIL blog regularly publishes other IT activities and achievements.
