Language exchange with Libourne

22 November 2019

As part of their French language classes, our English Secondary students are having a year long exchange with students from Libourne, France. Recently, their new found friends came to visit us. In this blog post, our students would like to share their experience with you.

With our new friends, the students from Libourne, we had an awesome week. For many people, Monday was the best, with fun games in the morning, and a tour of Geneva in the afternoon. We visited the old town, went on a boat trip, and got drenched under the Jet d’Eau. Many students learned plenty on Tuesday, as we went to the United Nations and Red Cross museum. We did a bit of maths on Wednesday, and some orienteering on Thursday. To top the week off, we went bowling on Friday, and had an emotional goodbye at the airport. Students made lifelong friends, and described the week as “inspiring”, “happy”, “unforgettable”, “fabulous” and “entertaining”. Every student says they would do it again, and absolutely loved it. It was a very positive experience and we look forward to seeing them again in March, this time in Libourne.
