Christmas Jumper Day 20161 February 2017
On16th December, during The English Primary Section’s Christmas show you may have noticed the teachers were all wearing Christmas jumpers? Some were tasteful, some were funny and sparkly, but they were all being worn for a great reason: to raise money for Save the Children appeal who run world-class programmes to save children’s lives and challenge world leaders to keep their promises which is to give children a brighter future.
The concept behind the Christmas Jumper appeal is simple: to get silly for a serious cause. The Save the Children charity encourages people everywhere to get involved by donning Christmas jumpers and donating to the appeal.
At the end of IIL’s English Primary show, staff members and students, from the primary and secondary sections of IIL, were collecting money for this worthy appeal. Due to the generosity of the families of IIL, we raised 325CHF and so we would like to thank you!
Thank you to all of the staff who made the effort to find some novel jumpers and to everyone who made a donation.
