Book Week inspires young readers

13 November 2017

Here at the Institut International de Lancy, we know that special visits from authors and illustrators are exciting events that foster our young students to be inspired to read, write, and learn more about the process of writing.

During this year’s engaging 2017 Book Week, the English Primary were happy to welcome Nicholas Schon, illustrator of many beloved Biff and Chip books, that are located in the English Primary Library.

Schon’s illustration workshops engaged and influenced the spirited minds of our primary students. He would illustrate while the students collaborated to create and author their own story adventures for the acquainted characters. We thank him for being such a wonderful support in bringing the characters of our Oxford Reading Programme to life.

We excelled in the set objective for our Book Week – to enlighten the hearts and spark creativity in young, aspiring authors and illustrators. Here at IIL, we “Work and Succeed Together.”
