True to tradition, IIL held its very own 500 Words Competition in March 2017 which proved to be an immense success with entrants from Year 5/8e and Year 6/7e classes across both the English and French Primary Sections. As from the 2016-2017 school year, IIL is offering to all the students of 6 an entrepreneurship programme, which is a reference in Suisse Romande. The programme will also be proposed to all IIL students as part of the extra-curricular activities.
One of the Year 10 Mathematics groups already wrote their IGCSE Mathematics exams and have hence started an Additional Mathematics course. To emphasise that Mathematics is a creative subject, we have chosen to use 10 periods for a project titled ‘Around the corner’. Lire la suite
Our 8e French classes experienced the old-time tradition of Christmas story- telling in a new way via a collaborative creative-writing exercise using their iPads. New 21st century skills such as creativity, communication and the use of information technology were learned throughout the work.

The technology syllabus for this year’s Grade 8 students addresses the real issues faced when constructing a house. Thanks to IIL’s 1to1 iPad policy, students are able to realistically simulate the various phases involved in this type of project.
